Your Go-to Family Travel Adventure Site
A great place to visit during the summer is Niagara Falls! Not only is it a spectacular sight of nature, there are also lots of fun activities to keep you occupied during your stay…. whether it’s a romantic couple trip or a family-based visit, Niagara has it all for every occasion!
Obviously, Niagara is known for its (wait for it) FALLS! The gorgeous display of enormous amounts of water falling is breathtaking, no matter how many times you’ve seen it. This trip was my 4th time to the Falls, and each time I’m there I’m still amazing at its powerful beauty!
During the summer, the city of Niagara hypes up its tourism by adding fireworks at the Falls, Thursday and Sunday nights. There are literally thousands of people, coming from all around, to view it. Its one of the best displays I have seen, and considering it’s over the falls makes it even more special.
Besides the Falls, there are many options to keep you busy. Huge Casinos, located right on the falls, draw large crowds each night. The outlet mall on Lundy’s Lane has shoppers from all parts of the world coming to find deals. And nothing can top the famous Clifton Hill Strip.
Clifton Hill is a family’s entertainment dream, and offers TONS of options! We decided (and recommend) to go with the Fun Pass while we were there. This allows you to chose 5 attractions for only $25. And considering what each attraction costs on its own, its a great deal!
The Niagara Sky Wheel alone is worth the Fun Pass! You can literally see the entire city along with the Falls and beyond. It’s the London Eye set in Canada with amazing views all around you!
Other attractions include Mini Putt Putt Golf, Wax Museum, XD Theater, a couple of rides and tokens at the Arcade. You can also check out Ripley’s Believe or Not, The Maid of the Mist and just about every restaurant imaginable to choose from.
There is lodging ranging from money-saver hotels up to paying the big bucks to stay right on the Falls. Any way Niagara has options for all of us.
We were there for 2 days, and even with the weather being on and off rainy, we still had an incredible time! It’s just one of those places that brings a smile to your face, no matter where you are from!
The absolute power of the falls is amazing. Makes you realize how little we all are in the grand scheme.
so true!
