I’ve never really been a huge romance girl. Sure, I love watching Romantic Comedies, snuggle up with a good cry, and fantasize about it happening in “real life“. Running off for The Fairy Tale Wedding in a faraway land. Always sounded magical, but a little too unrealistic to me….
Until it happened.

A Cinderella Story
Rewind back a year, and I was literally thinking I might never find my someone. Living and working in South Tel Aviv with refugees was my life, and meeting possible suitors wasn’t exactly in the cards. I had to leave the country every three months, so this time I decided a trip to Malta was just the ticket. I headed off alone, unbeknownst to me that I would meet my future husband there (read more about that story here).
We dated a year, got engaged on New Years, and decided to get married on what ended up being Valentine’s Day! (enter fairy tale music now)
The Fairy Tale Wedding Setting
We hopped on over to the island of Cyprus, which is only a 45 minute flight from Tel Aviv, for our small, intimate wedding. Accompanied by another couple, it was just us and them. A weekend at an incredible 5-Star Hotel, a unique, personal wedding, our wedding pictures on the beach, and even a special 7-Course Valentines Dinner and Entertainment on our Wedding Night. It all just seeped with ROMANCE!
So, here I am, not even realizing that I’m inside my own Fairy Tale Wedding!

It’s the stuff Disney movies are made from… without even trying.
Destination Wedding
And yes, you might be thinking: “But what about all the family and friends?!?” We’ve got that covered too! Our family and friends wedding will take place later this year, so everyone can share in our happiness. A kind of My Big Fat Jewish Wedding, accompanied with loud Mizrachi music and all.
But for one weekend, it was just us. My Fairy Tale Wedding in Disguise. A Destination Wedding that I could have only deemed unrealistic at one time. And looking back, I wouldn’t have changed anything for the world!
