VEGAS Baby! Add Vegas to Your Bucket List NOW!

Vegas baby

VEGAS bucket list, Baby! There’s a reason why exclamation points always follow statements about Vegas.  Maybe it’s the crazy lights everywhere you go. The neon signs. The casinos in every hotel. The shows. The entertainment. The excitement. I think you get the point.

The Thrill of Vegas

Vegas can be completely overwhelming at first, but then something takes over and it’s like a comfort zone that pulls you in.

Surprisingly, this was my first time to Vegas after living only 3 hours away for 5 years. Landing at night and seeing the city lit up, my first thought was, “it’s just like the movies.” Mind you, there was no “Hangover” or tigers in my hotel room, but the feeling that you get when pulling up to your hotel for the first time is fantastic. And filled with excitement and anticipation.

We stayed in the Excalibur, which was fine for my first trip to Vegas.  After cruising through all the other hotels, I realized that it wasn’t the Cream of the Crop, but the location and the room was just fine for me.  The 4 pools were pretty great too! Vegas bucket list, baby!

5 Days of Vegas Bucket List, baby!

We were in Vegas for 5 days, and to be honest, 5 days is just enough.  I’m not a big gambler, so spending a few hours in a casino was plenty for me. Most people associate Vegas with casinos, but there is a lot more to see and do!

Our 5 days were so jammed packed with activities and sightseeing, I didn’t even feel the need to sit at a machine. Though my bf did win a poker tournament. 🙂

The only downside to Vegas in the summer is the scorching heat.  It was even too hot to sit by the pool during the afternoon hours, but during the 5:00-7:00 time frame the pools were calling my name.

Nightlife in Vegas is taking nightlife to another level.  I’m not a huge partier, but getting dressed up, walking down the strip, seeing the free shows outside various hotels (The Bellagio fountains and The Pirate Show etc.) and walking through casinos is magical.  It’s something everyone should experience at least once in their lives.

And if you’re worried that Vegas is just one big party town, think again! There’s so much available for families, that a trip to Vegas can be for everyone.  And don’t forget. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, baby! 🙂
